The USS Mandela was a Federation Starfleet Ambassador-class heavy cruiser that saw service during the 24th century.
The Mandela was part of the 137th Tactical Wing, Twentieth Fleet during the Federation-Klingon War of 2372-73. It was part of the force sent to relieve the 3rd Cruiser Wing, 24th Tactical Wing during the Battle of Korvat. It engaged a Vor'cha-class vessel attacking the USS Andrew Fisher, eventually destroying the Klingon ship. [1]
